We are excited to open registration for World Changer Camp 2017 Summer Camp in Libertyville!
Camp Kind is for kids who are 3 - 6 years old by the time camp begins. We offer two sessions (both sessions are the same).
Session One Monday, July 31st - Friday, August 4th from 9:00 am - 11:30 am.
Session Two Monday, August 7th - Friday, August 11th from 9:00 am - 11:30 am. What will we be doing at Camp Kind? Each day will center around 1 - 2 kindness skills: empathy, self-calming, emotion regulation, resiliency, bravery, conflict resolution, inclusion, acts of kindness and how to be a world changer. Even though these topics sound serious, our activities are lots of fun, super silly and play-based and approved by a former elementary school teacher and Principal, and a licensed child therapist.
Location Camp will take place at a preschool in Libertyville and will be lead by Jen and Melissa, two incredible Fox and Trove Kindness Educators who are both licensed teachers.
Why are kindness and bravery so important? Research shows teaching kids kindness during the formative years of 3 - 6, is the single most effective way to prevent bullying before it has a chance to start. We go one step further and teach bravery as well because we wholeheartedly believe kindness and bravery together create a balance kids need for healthy social-emotional development. In addition to bullying prevention, kindness and bravery education also fosters resiliency, confidence and academic success. Kids who are kind and brave are statistically happier, healthier physically and mentally and far more likely to grow up into happier, healthier adults.
We can't wait to spend a week this summer with your little world changers!
Your child must be potty trained by the time camp begins. No cancellations after April 15th.
